A quick solution if you are having Safari crashes issue with the AcidSearch!

If you are having Safari crashes issue with the AcidSearch then just uninstall AcidSearch add-on from your computer.
Howto remove/uninstall the AcidSearch from you computer:
Login as root,
From Terminal Application, (in /Applications/Utilities) type:
sudo rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/SIMBL/Plugins/AcidSearch.bundle/
As it is done, please follow below mentioned steps to add a search engine and install Glims (instead of AcidSearch):
As you follow these steps you are on your way to a complete solution from Safari crashes i.e. you can add a search plugin to your Safari search box via the third party Add-on “Glims” and won’t have any crash problem further.
If you have any doubt please leave your comment here I will try to resolve.
Quick steps to add a search engine to your Safari browser:
1. Please download and install the “Glims” Add-on from here and restart Safari

Goto www.machangout.com website

Download Glims add-on
Click the box icon of the Glims

Click the "Continue" button for installation

Click the "Continue" button again

Click the I "Agree" button

Now click the "Install" button

You will see Glims installation message: "Install Succeeded"

Restart your Safari browser for adding a search plugin

Go to to your Safari's menu
2. Go to Safari -> Preferences and click on the “Glims” icon

Go to Safari -> Preferences
Click the "Glims" icon (you will see next to advance tab)
3. On the left section, click on “Search Engines“

On the left section, click on "Search Engines"
4. Click the “Add” button at the bottom

Click the "Add" button at the bottom
5. In the box that pops up,
(e.g. if you wanna add Digg search)

In the box that pops up, enter name and search engine url feed you want to add
type into the “Name” field: Digg
in “Query URL“ field, replace the http://www.google.com/q=#query# with the http://digg.com/search?s=#query#
(make sure the URL contains ‘&query=#query#‘)

e.g. if you want to add Digg search, type into the "Name" field: Digg; in "Query URL" field, replace the http://www.google.com/q=#query# with the http://digg.com/search?s=#query# (make sure the URL contains '&query=#query#')
