<p>If you are having <a class="zem_slink freebase/guid/9202a8c04000641f800000000013231f" title="Safari (web browser)" rel="homepage" href="http://www.apple.com/safari/">Safari</a> crashes issue with the AcidSearch then just   uninstall AcidSearch add-on from your computer.</p>
<p>Howto remove/uninstall the AcidSearch from you computer:</p>
<p>Login as root,</p>
<p>From Terminal <a href="http://indiastudychannel.com/resources/89042-fring-an-exclusively-Mobile-VOIP-service-for.aspx">Application</a>, (in /Applications/Utilities) type:</p>
<p><strong><a class="zem_slink freebase/guid/9202a8c04000641f80000000003edf50" title="Sudo" rel="homepage" href="http://www.sudo.ws/">sudo</a> rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/SIMBL/Plugins/AcidSearch.bundle/</strong></p>
<p>As it is done, please follow below mentioned steps to add a search engine and install Glims (instead of AcidSearch):</p>
<p><em>As you follow these steps </em>you are on your way to a complete solution from Safari crashes<em> i.e. you can add a search plugin  to your Safari search box via the third party Add-on &#8220;Glims&#8221; and </em> <em>won&#8217;t have any crash problem</em><em> further.</em></p>

<p>1. Please download and install the <strong>&#8220;Glims&#8221;</strong> Add-on from <a href="http://www.machangout.com/">here</a> and restart Safari</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">type into the <strong>&#8220;Name&#8221;</strong> field: Digg</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">in <strong>&#8220;Query <a class="zem_slink freebase/guid/9202a8c04000641f800000000003f3a0" title="Uniform Resource Locator" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Resource_Locator">URL</a>&#8220;</strong> field, replace the <em>http://www.google.com/q=#query#</em> with the <strong><em>http://digg.com/search?s=#query#</em></strong></p>
